Yeah, we’d need to make a new flag and it would be a pain in the ****.

I am from VT, so I guess I wouldn’t miss it. I also wouldn’t miss the BS in DC.

How in the world am I posed to get “REAL” maple syrup if they secede? I can just imagine the import tax imposed on syrup! Probably be as much if not more than the syrup…………………….
I would probably be among the first imprisoned for smuggling syrup.

Well, for me personally, probably not, but i would not want them to see them go, nor should they. Our country is hurting and for them to become their own republic would not solve anything nor change their financial situation any more than anyone elses situation.

I proudly wear a sticker of the flag of the Vermont Republic on my ski helmet. I actually support the notion that Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, and New York (north of the Mohawk Valley) should form it’s own country. It would stand a better economic chance than just VT alone.
The “Vermont Secession Handbook” pokes fun at the notion, but it raises some good points. I think The Kingdom would try to leave the rest of the state too. (Well, Essex county at least.)
