omg yes =p skiing is so easy, make sure you ask or follow signs for the “bunny hill” it pulls them up without thwe skii lift
they hold onto a rope, they’ll get a kick outta it, and the nyou skii down it very gentle slope, also for a low amount of money you can get them mini skiing lessons for littler kids.
to save you money though i can tell you what they teach them and you can teach your family,
the pizza- by movivg your feet towards each other (i recommend letting them practice before going on any slopes they call it pizza so they can teach kids nstead of saying stop say make a pizza
bending your kness helps for speed and also if they fall they’ll be okay.
i also think poles for younger kids is not smart idea, it will mess them up and for the 4 year old i think you can go ypu the bunny hill thing that pulls you up and help her down.
then to slow down but not pizza all the way down you can turn left and right (little harder for the 4 yr old but 9 and 8 yr old may pick it up
Remeber to have fun!

they will love it. skiing is a very very easy and fun to learn but a great challenge to gain skill. just take your kids on the easiest run there is and take it slowly. keep your skis straight, have fun and keep skiing!

it’s only hard if you don’t take a lesson, with a lesson it’s a blast! Your kids will love it

get them a lesson and they will be fine, otherwise teach them how to do a pizza (stop) and they’ll be sweet. It’ll help if you can ski too.
otherwise I’m guessing it’s about [----------------this hard-----------------]

I still remember the first time I went skiing. It was embarassing!
But after a day ( and numerous pathetic, failed attempts), I finally got it – not the tricks, I’m still too sh*te for that, but I could control myself down the slopes
So I think the kids should be fine, as long as you remember the basics ( as stated by the first answerer – I didn’t bother to type it all again
Skiing’s fun and no one should miss it!

Yes, they should be able to participate. However, don’t count on them really enjoying themselves their first day, especially if they have never been on snow. It will most likely be fun if they don’t get frustrated, which believe me is easy to do. If they do they will end up not only exhausted but grumpy. Teaching kids to ski is a pain sometimes. Remember..they will be much nicer to an instructor than you when it comes to learning. I recommend putting them in a group lesson for an hour or so their first day, just so that they have somewhere to start. Vermont doesn’t tend to get tons of snow, so the conditions should be groomed and easy, perfect for beginners.

they are all at the age that they can be in a ski school and learn… the older ones can learn a lot if they do other sports and are used to listening to direction. Put them in a program lesson… all day, most every day. nothing will ruin the vacation more than if you are all struggling at the same time, together. emotions run high and the next thing you know everybody wants to go home, NOW. You usually get an hour or so to take a run and see what they learned. They will be with like aged children and will be more social than just learning to ski. Kids tend to become very needy when they are stuck in a hour lesson with a stranger, almost as needy as they become when parents try to teach them. don’t do it ,if that’s what you’re thinking. Its not worth the hassle. Skiing is not really difficult but it does depend on the person. some ppl just don’t get it and have horrible balance. some pick it up like its the most natural thing ever. you don’t know where you stand till you try.this is an example of killingtons daily program for the younger crowd…-%20daily%20programs/ministars_and_lowriders/index.html
